Yoga + Movement Instructor (200 hr RYT)
I am a certified yoga instructor and a classically trained actor. For more than a decade I have been studying the human body. I have been driven to discover not only how we can find more strength, flexibility and range in our movements, but also how we can move with more poise, grace + ease.
Throughout those years I have also spent a significant portion of time working in corporate settings, in various sectors, including admin, marketing and HR. My years of working in offices are what drive me to bring yoga to the workplace, to help others in the daily practice of identifying and releasing unnecessary tension and the discovery of greater balance. My yoga instruction is highly influenced by my acting and movement training - I have been inspired by the teachings of F.M. Alexander, Tadashi Suzuki, Kristin Linklater, Trish Arnold and Barbara Houseman. I believe that the integration of a self reflective yoga practice along with the techniques of mindful movement are beneficial, in fact critical, for our modern places of work. |
